Welcome to my letter for If I Fits I Fics, an exchange about cats! For clarity, for the most part when I say "cats" I am referring to domestic housecats, with the exception of Gekiranger. Characters canonically have animal motifs in Gekiranger, so depicting them as Big Cats like Jan as a tiger would also be appropriate. Depicting the Gekirangers as little kitties is also good. In all requests I am interested in cats, not cat-people.

General Likes: Fluff, Hurt/Comfort, Angst with a Happy Ending, Epistolary, Pre-Canon, N Times/N Things

 

DNWs: Smut, Major Character Death*, Graphic Blood/Injury, Pregnancy, Script Format, Pregnancy (of human or cats), Genderswaps, Unrequested Romantic Relationships, Unrequested Gender/Sexuality Headcanons, Script Format, Permanent Injuries, Humans Injuring Animals

*References to canon deaths are okay, but nobody should die in a gift.

Re: my usual "Animal Abuse" DNW and the fact that these characters canonically fight: Cats fighting cats (or canon-typical monsters- garugarus, dopants, etc.) is fine, and so is them getting hurt in these battles as long as they get care/recover. Humans injuring cats (or other animals) is still a DNW, and graphic bleeding/injuries is a DNW.

In terms of art style, I'd prefer cats to be realistic colours (ie not pink or green or whatnot) but otherwise I'm fine with any art style/level of detail.

 

My favourite colour is purple but as a lot of these requests are toku (and precure is basically honorary toku), if the character(s) I requested is associated with a specific colour and you're like "that would be better than purple" then that's great too! I'm also interested in seeing art/things that canon characters make, whether they canonically have artistic talent or not. (Yes this is copied from another letter, yes it's still true when they're cats. Put their paws in cement, it'll be cute)

I am not requesting romance between humans and cats, but have requested some background romances between humans when freeforms fit. I still expect the cat (or the cat's pov of their relationship) to be the focus.
 

Wonderful Precure

Yes, the tags are different in each request. I tried to split it according to things that made sense as a group/pair/solo, but you are allowed to pick like, Canon Events from Cat's Perspective and focus on what she thinks of Mayu or of Daifuku & Komugi, meanwhile you are allowed to pick If it fits I sits and make it about just Yuki. (But imagine: a cat AND dog AND bunny doing if I fits I sits) Mix and match Wonderful Precure tags, basically, just as long as Yuki is involved. Some tags in the third request are about Cat & Dog and don't mention Bunny, I'd still like Daifuku to be included (maybe for like "cat is terrified of dog; dog just wants to be friends" it can be that but also "cat is not friends with bunny but doesn't have a problem with them"

 

I'm not interested in the animal characters in human form, it's not like you can't mention them ever but I'd rather focus on them as animals rather than as Precures or at school. Speaking of humans, you can involve other humans (Mayu's parents, Iroha, Satoru, Iroha's parents, etc) if you want.

 

I am keeping up with Wonderful Precure as it airs and I'm fine if your gift isn't 100% canon compliant in the long run, as this show will still be ongoing in September.

I don't mind if Philip has Always Been a Cat or Was Somehow Turned Into a Cat, so I have two requests: one general request with all relationship tags and general cute ideas, useful for Mick and for AUs where Philip has Always Been a Cat (imagine Begins Night but with a cat) and a second request for just Shotaro & Cat!Philip with a few tags for Philip Was Somehow Turned Into a Cat. These transformation tags wouldn't make sense for Mick, who is Literally a Cat. I do ship Shotaro/Philip in general, and though I don't mind romance in the background of a fic with Mick, I prefer any affection with Cat!Philip be platonic, whether he's Always Been a Cat or not.

Speaking of Mick, he is totally 20+ years old and living his best kitty life. Any point during canon is fine with me (so like, pre-canon with Kid!Wakana and post-canon with Shotaro are both fine and good)

I'm not splitting this into multiple request because it's less than 20 tags (wow!) and because while some tags are better suited for certain pairs/groups, there aren't enough to warrant separate requests.

 

I ended up not requesting Solo!Cat!Jan, but all combinations are equally interesting.

Yes, this request is based on episode 41, it is an amazing episode, it's adorable. Obviously Juuru (and other characters) in that episode are turned into catpeople, and it's still a great episode, but I want to see Juuru as an actual cat instead! (Does not need to be based on episode 41 or any episode, other characters like Sayo and Sena do not need to be cats if they appear in the gift. I mean they can be, but I'm not requesting them.) I don't mind if Juuru has Always Been a Cat or Was Somehow Turned Into a Cat.
